Terry Acebo-Davis
Visual Artist: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking
Terry Acebo-Davis is a visual artist living and working in Palo Alto. Most recently she creates conceptual installations to build tableaux works that draw upon her travels, history and identity as a Pilipina Amerikan. Her artwork has been exhibited in the SF Bay Area, nationally and internationally including shows in Germany, Belgium and the Philippines. In 2009 her solo exhibition "Tri-age" took place at the Triton Museum. Terry has been a recipient of the Phelan Award in Printmaking, Radius Award and was an Arts Council Silicon Valley Fellowship awardee. For her arts communities work she received grants with California Arts Council, Gerbode Foundation, Zellerbach Family Fund, Capp Street, SF Arts Commission and Arts Council Silicon Valley and Community Foundation awards. Along with her art career she has also served as arts administrator on non-profit Boards including Trustee for former Arts Council Silicon Valley, Works San Jose and recently served two terms including Chair of the Palo Alto Public Arts Commission. Future exhibitions include the Wing Luke Museum in Seattle, Washington. Terry received her MFA at San Jose State University and works simultaneously as an RN at Stanford University Hospital.
