Celebrating 19 years of musical excellence, The Choral Project has been hailed by the San José Mercury News as “a Bay Area jewel” and extolled by the Bay Area Reporter as “pure balm for the ears.

The Choral Project, a 54-member auditioned, mixed-voice, community-based choir, is one of the premier performing organizations in Northern California. Founded in 1996 by Artistic Director Daniel Hughes, The Choral Project has developed an outstanding reputation for performing high-level choral literature and bridging the gap between text and music, singer and spectator. The ensemble has performed throughout the world to rave reviews and standing ovations, including performances for the American Choral Directors Association, the California Music Educators Association, the National Association of Composers of the USA, a performance by invitation to represent California at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., as part of the California State Day Celebration. as well as sold–out concerts in Mexico, Costa Rica and the United Kingdom.

Last season, The Choral Project performed a joint concert with the internationally-acclaimed Canadian Brass to a sold-out crowd.
